Default Pressure Sensor Placement?

I was just wondering what you guys recommend.I am running a defi oil pressure gauge and I was wondering how you guys recommend running the sensor.I was planning on using a aluminum t fitting from earls and using the top port for the sensor.I was just worried about the weight of the sensor breaking the aluminum t fitting.I also thought about running a line from the t to the sensor but that has been said to limit the ability of the sensor getting true oil pressure readings due to the dead end of the line.I also have a Golden Eagle oil sandwich adapter and it has 2 ports for this type of problem would it be ok to use one port for the sensor and one port for the oil supply line and would the sensor have a accurate reading if the oil isnt flowing past the sensor to allow it to read fluctuations in pressure correctly?

Thanks for the help

I wouldn't mount any sensors or fittings off the block just for the fact that they could break and leave you on the side of the road with no oil in the engine and broken fittings.

Stealthmode sells a nice kit with S/S braided line that mounts on the fire wall with the appropriate fittings and all and it won't strain out and crack from weight/vibrations

a little pricey but you can very cheaply make your own from supplies from a local speed shop or Summit/Jegs

I already have that kit and a few oil lines laying around but like I stated before the sandwich adapter has two ports and I was wondering which is better to get a consistant reading.

The sensor is actually put in line prior to the oil filter so I would stick with that location. Use the stealthmode kit if you have it. I have a copper t-fitting on the back of my block just sitting there with the oem pressure sensor that I used for my turbo oil feed. Still sitting there after 5+ years. I suppose taking it out and putting it on the firewall would prevent catastrophe.

Thanks for chiming in Blair and I guess if it doesnt seem to get acuurate readings I can always switch it around. My main concern is my turbo is having oiling issues and it keeps blowing oil past the seals.Hopefully the gauge can help me figure this out.

Then I would also find a way to put a pressure gauge in-line from block to turbo just to check the actually pressure going to the turbo.
