Default Tuning Discussion

i just went through the EFI101 training course and would like to have a discussion with anyone and everyone that knows tuning. now that the class is over, i have a lot more knowledge then before and would like to trade thoughts back and forth with tuners.

since the class i have come up with this for a starting point.......(basically...i need some help getting started)

1) I need to find tuning software and upload it into my laptop.

which tuning softwares, do you guys find are the most used? how much do they run for?

2) does the wire harness come with the software?

this may seem extremely novice for some of you tuners, but i'm just learning. and the more people that join this thread the more bantering there will be.

knowledge is key!

Check out moates.net and pgmfi.org

There are alot off different tunning programs out there that require different things.

Your gonna need to spend a lot of time on your computer reading.

By the way I run crome pro I would recomend it. It cost 150. but there are also free programs.

thats funny. i just found it(chrome pro) for $150 today as a matter of fact. do you like it?

what kind of applications does it run...N/A, turbo...OBDI? will it match with autronic, k-pro, or any of these?

i'm still trying to figure out what goes with what right now. my next step is to convert from my OBDII to an OBDI...and get some sort of free ware device. start out basic so i can get the hang of it.

P.S. stock 01' civic LX...5-speed, 1.7L...intake and exhaust at the moment. headers next. i just want to play with the mapping a little. see if i can richen it a little and get a couple of horsies out of it...for now...LoL.
