Default transmission fluid level.

k20z3 si 06
i wrote this in the 06 si thread, but it's kinda limited users there. so i wrote here.

so i had to change my axle. well during this it started pouring tranny fluid out the diff.

being this isn't my first honda i put it back together and took the tranny fill plug out. and it started pouring out like a waterfall.

does the factory overfill these things on purpose???? or am i trippin.... yes the car was level and warm. and yes it was the right plug. from past experience and my manual it says it should just be to the bottom of the fill plug. this was no way at the bottom. probably a quart more than if it was at the bottom...

what's the deal with so much fluid in this thing...

Default Re: transmission fluid level. (escocrx)

maybe they fill it in more, as it's a newly assembled tranny and all.

not sure tho
