The only way I know to tell it's low is to check if it's full. Park car on level ground, jack it up so it's leveled. Crack the FILLER plug open and if fluid leaks out, then you're good. If no fluid leaks out, stick your finger in there and if you feel any fluid right behind the hole, then you're good. If you think it's low, just add fluid with a tube until the fluid drips out.

Yeah there's no dipstick for the tranny. It just basically needs to be filled to as high as you can get it with a tube in the upper drain plug (there are 2).
