Default tranny question

ok i have a 96 Honda civic hatch and i have found a 94 civic dx tranny for sale. I was wondering if that would be able to be swapped for mine? Would it go right in or will it not fit. My synchros are all f u c k e d up so i need a tranny quick. The person said that it was a hydro tranny which i need but my car is 2 years newer. Any replies are welcomed and appreciated.
