Default is tranny gone?

1993 integra ls m/t ....the engine sounds fine but when the car is in gear it wont go anywhere and makes a knocking noise.Seems like the clutch is not catching the flywheel. My question is could it just be the clutch plate or for you tranny experts is the entire tranny blown. What do i need to look for for signs of either.Any help is appreciated

Well it sounds like the diff might be broken, but still I think it might just be the clutch, try jacking up the car and unbolt the the tranny drain bolt and see if there are any bit of metal bits that come out of the tranny. If you need a tranny let me know we can help you out, we also carry some good clutch kits for really good prices. hope that everything works out for you.

Did you check to see if the axles are rotating? Could be a toasted CV that just spins freely. Or even an axle popped out of the diff.
