Default TPS or Vacuum Leak?

Every morning I warm up my car for about 3 mins and go to class. Once I park my car on campus and put it into drive my idle jumps from 1500 to 700 continuously until I turn off the car. Than after class I start up the car and the problem is gone until the next day.

Ive cleaned my IACV but still doesnt work. So Im guessing it could be my TPS not getting the proper voltage or a vacuum leak. True or false?

Thanks in advance

i'd check all the vacuum hoses for leaks.

what is the TPS voltage at WOT? I think it should be 4.45volts.

Is it only supposed to be .5 at idle? I don't recall.

Always a good idea.

WOT= wide open throttle. It should be 4.5v according to Helms. And .05v at idle

Thanks, cheif. I think we all know what WOT stands for...

As for voltage at idle, .05 seems a bit low. 5-hundreths of a volt is barely there.

I'm pretty certain 0.45 or 0.5 is what is normal for idle. If the car doesn't idle properly with a voltage in that range, the issue is somewhere else. Most likely a vacuum source.

the voltage is right on the dot at idle and WOT.

so I started up my car this morning with the AC on and everything seems to run fine I let it run for about 5 mins and I turned OFF my AC and my idle starts to jump from 1500 to 700 continuously then i turned ON my AC and my idle was fine.

Any solution to this?
