Default N/a Engine for now Turbo for later....Need Help building and deciding....

I have a b16a jdm engine in a 94 civic ex and i want to re-build the engine. i was thinking a 10:1 Arias piston and h-beam eagle rod would do the trick for both applications. See what i want to do is rebuild the engine now for non-turbo with the whole bottom end and most of the top without the turbo cams, maybe some itr/ctr cams. then later seeing that its aready buit to just put the turbo on a tune it, is this possible and what would you guys advise

if u plan on going turbo in the future, then build it for turbo. I would go with a lower compression (prolly like 8-9 to 1), GSR cams (or turbo cams if u like), aftermarket sleeves (darton, or midways) and Wiesco pistons, and of course the Eagle rods.

i think you should be fine with that compression...i was looking into rebuild my d-series with 10.5 compression and running 7lbs of boost via a supercharger...just get some decent fuel management and tuning and you should be fine...

if he rebuilds the engine with aftermarket rods, pistons, and sleeves, running only 7 pounds of boost would be a waste of money. 7 pounds of boost is fine at around 10 to 1 compression. Try putting 15 PSI and see what type of detonation u get on pump gas. Better to plan for big boost now.

the higher the compression, the less room for error and the more critical tuning/fuel management becomes. on that note- 10:1 is almost borderline, i wouldnt go above it, but thats just me
