Too Lean in fuel system!!!
What does running too lean mean? That is the code(45 Honda Civic 96-98) that my ecu is throwing out what does that mean? What could it be? Any help would be appreciated THANX
clogged fuel filter, dying fuel pump, clogged or dead injector(s). Those are the most likely culprits, the first thing you ned to do is check the plugs for signs of lean running and if they all look the same check the fuel pressure. It could also be your 02 sensor dying, which can show up as either rich or lean running, but generally that throws a specific code for the sensor itself.

I believe it says that regardless of manf. warrenty, emissions related devices are covered for 5 years. Some parts are 7 but just a few. If you try it be ready to pay when its not covered. The book says check the vaccum to the map sensor, and fuel regulator. An exhaust leak can also do it.
What is the emission extension warranty?
