Default Turbo Questions.

I currently am driving a 00 si w/ a b18c5 swap. I am picking up a hatch in a couple of months and want to go turbo.(I'm a newb to turbos) I have the choice of b18b or d16y8. i know the b18b will make more hp but is also more money. Plus the motors internals are goin to be stock so if I blow the motor the sohc will be cheaper to replace. This is just goin to be a my beater and I dont care about to condition of anything. Itll prob be running 8-9 psi.
My question is should I just go for the b18b like I originally planned or will the d16y8 make enough power to satisfy me. I guess I'm curious to know how much hp itll make stock on 8 lbs of boost.

any info on either of the motors will help, thanks in advance.
