Default Timing Light recommendations

Any recommended timing lights out there? Some are cheap, others the price goes up. I don't want one that may break easily, something durable..etc.. (tools get dropped on the ground sometimes ) Any suggestions? I did a search and nothing came up. Thanks for any help!

Just get one with a metal casing.

Of course you want one with the inductive pick-up. I don't even know if they still sell the old direct spark type anymore. (I'm showing my age here) Anyway, I've always believed you could buy a cheap tool several times, or buy a good tool once.
As for a particular brand, I have no recomendation.

Get a digital one if you can afford it- the mechanical advance lights tend to be less accurate.

I just got a snap on digital timing light off e-bay for $238 shipped. It's a $450 timing light on the truck, and I didn't want to spend that much.

Very nice light, but you cannot drop it, it will break.
