Timing light.. what brand and where to purchase from?
i need a timing light.. i stopped at kragen auto parts but they were sold out of the basic one...
i dont need anything fancy... but want something that will at least work... and not too expensive since this will not be a frequently used item..

How bout craftsman quality at the very least? They run around 30.00 or so I think. At least there is a guarantee. The Equus w/lcd display looks very nice but it's 117.00. Hehe.
I'm looking at the Summit magazine right now and there's an Actron timing light for 62.95. It looks decent.

any decent light that's worth a crap will have a dial. This allows you to set the timing light to flash at your desired timing, and then you just line it up at TDC.

I have the Equis(sp?) one from the Summit catalog. Its relativly cheap at a little over 100 bucks and it will do everything a 250 snap on one will.
