Timing jumped!!!??
Ok the other day when I was trying to jump start my other car my integra (91-wb16) cut off on me. Looked the car over and discovered that the cam timing was off a finger or 2. My Timing belt was loose when I first bought the car a week ago. So i towed it to my moms to reset the timing, something ive never done before.
now to the confusing part....I looked over my haynes manual step by step to re-adjust my timing. Cleared the whole side of the driver side away and removed the valve cover. Turned the crankshaft so that #1 is at tdc. Took the distr. cap off and its pointing toward wire #1. but what i was confused about was how do i go about lining the cam marks up. I understand that the up marks point up and that the 2 little timing marks on each cam line up but how do i rotate it without the distributor moving. I know this is prbably a stupid question but i wanted to get it straight before i mess something up. Do each cam individually move?? I have not yet removed the belt also
thanx
