Default Easiest way to tell your timing is off

I swaped heads on my block that was in my car and my car starts but when I go to rev it up it revs like ****. I was told it might have to do with my timing? I have aftermarket cam gears and I think I got the timing correct,( ive done lots of timing belts) I just want to double check,so whats the easiest way to check that?

remove the valve cover and the timing belt cover. set the cam to top dead center and see if the pulley is at top dead center. If you can't get both of them at TDC at the same time, the belt most likely slipped

if you can't adjust your ignition timing to specs when adjusting the distributor, then your timing belt is definitely off.
