Default Throttle Body adjustment screw?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. But I need to make sure. What is the best position to have the throttle body adjustment screw in?It has been previously adjusted before i got my car. Just wondering if I should have it turned all the way to the left or all the way to the right or right in the middle. Thanks. (Oh yeah, it is on a 97 civic coupe)Thanks.

Do you mean the idle air bleed screw or the throttle stop screw?

The screw facing upwards on the tb which is a slotted screw with a hole in the middle.

If it has a jam nut, it's the throttle stop screw. It should be adjusted so there isn't any clearance between it and the throttle arm. It should also let the throttle plate close all the way.

It is the screw towards the back of the tb. When you turn it to the right all the way, it seems as if the engine could shut down. Also, when I adjust it, where is the IAC sensor and evap sensor that I need to unplug? It is on a 97 civic. Because the procedures I have to fix the idling problem besides cleaning the IAC is : warm car to idle till radiator fan comes on. Disconnect the IAC and EVAP sensors. Adjust idle to 500 frpms then shut off. Reset ecu fuse for at lease 10 seconds and plug back in both plugs and start car. Just need to kind of know where the IAC and EVAP sensors are located. Thanks.

I don't have to mess with them very often. That's the idle speed screw. To ajust the idle the engine should be at normal operating temperature. All electrical loads should be off. Do not disconect the IAC valve. Adj to 750+-50 RPM.
