Default help no oil pressure.. in ym b16a2

Hey whats up ppl's i've got a problem with my motor.. im in the process of getting my swap to work and at first i have no oil pressure.....then a new oil pump was put in and little oil pressure i mean like tiny bit.....the bearings....crank everything seems to be fine//... anyone have any ideas on why the motor has close to no oil pressure?????? btw oil is getting to the head somehow...??? also the oil pressure switch was also replaced......someone gimmme some ideas please..... i would really appreciate it

check your oilpan for dents, if its ok take the pan off and check the oil pickup.

hmm.. that might be the problem because i did notice that the oil pan was dented thank you..... but other then that what might be other possible theories to little oil pressure??? helop

if your pan is dented bad.
that is probably it.

how can u check if the oil pump is bad before replacing it?

you have to make sure that all the passaege ways are clear of debris when you install new part. they are small orfices that can easily get clogged.

I checked today and it wasnt the oil pan.... still wondering what it is.... bearings seem to be fine to the eye i think i should get them checked for clearance.....anyone have any other ideas why there wold be such a big problem with oil pressure>??? there is a new oil pump....

Was the motor rebuilt? did it have any machine work? sometimes there is bebirs in the blocks from different processes that may have been done to it. wash out the block w lots of high pressure water. be prepaired to get wet. followed by an immediate spraying down of the cylinders with wd40. MAKE SURE TO USE ALOT OF WD40). as for the pressure if there is now blockage that you can c u need to check the oil clearances. this could b the cause of the problem and based of the problem description i would bet it could be it. let us know how it turns out.

I don't think the naked eye can be able to see thousandths of an inch. Get some plastigauge and check them.

ok cool im goign to check it out today.... im going to try and replace the oil filter first im hoping that thats the problem cloggin./.. because the genius that removed my head last time forgot to drain the water out first and caused me to change the oil like 4 times.... well hopefully thats the problem.... if not i guess the worst is to remove the engine from the car and check it out thanks....if anyon comes up with more ideas let me know please
