Default swap problem

K so here is the deal. I have a 97 coupe. I put a b16 in it and long story short I had to take it out. I now have a d16y8 in it. I haven't finished the install because I'm getting different info from a couple people. First off the guys that installed the b16 used my wire harness from my stock motor. Now the mechanic that is helping me said the wire harness won't work for the d16y8. Well he said it will work but we have to do a little rewireing. Second he said I am missing my clutch slave and clutch fork. From what I know that stuff is in the tyranny but I'm not 100%. Can somebody give me some suggestions as to what i would need to do to make this swap work? Will I need to just find a wire harness for the motor or can I use the one I have? I'm so lost with this and would really appreciate some input please.

You b16 harness should work as long as they are both the same obd. Your slave cylinder is mounted on the front side of the transmission. Note you cannot use the b16 tranny on a d series. Your fork is on the inner part of the tranny. If it is there you should be able to see it since it hooks up to the slave cylinder.

Ok that helps a lot. I have the D series tranny in so that's not a problem. If at all possible could someone take a pic or something of what I'm looking for? I tried searching but came up with nothing.

Thank you.

What it all looks like installed. It's been so long since anything has been in this car that I can't remember how that area looks with a single cam.
