Default Stud Hole Cleaning

Doing a headgasket change on my d15 and noticed there is oil/coolant in the holes for the head studs. Any way of cleaning this out really good? I already went through with a compressor and got all the **** (old gasket and what not) out but not the liquid.

Also do you guys use the red lubricant they provide for putting the studs into the block or just for the bolts themselves?

I AM using the lube, but don't know if I need to put it on the studs when installing them in the block or just on the nuts when bolting head to block
