Default still need help with my motor..

sorry i posted this in 2 forums

1) ok well after i thought that a p28 would solve my probs, so far no good. the CEL light came on, so i figured like normal i would check it by jumping the connector like i always do. but no go. i used 3 different kinds of wire, pins and stuff but the light doesnt blink at all. the car turns on and still no blinking. just constant light.

2) so i still have the problem of when i accelerate up to around 2-3K rpm the needle and everything drops down then goes back up, my foot is still on the pedal. i rev to about 2500 and keep it there.. it like "idles" like that when in gear. the car is on jackstands. does that matter. i really want to get this car rollin on the streeets

thanx

PS.. so i was thinking. could my motor start due to a faulty ECU..
and also because of the CEL light, my car is in safe mode right, so i will not be able to rev past a certain RPM??

ls/vtec in a 2000 LS. when i had the p30 and the CEL popped up, it would blink. i switched to a p28 because of knock sensor.
