Alright I know I need a new clutch. But everytime I rev high and shift to third I'll get this ripping sound. I hate to hear my baby cry like that. Everyonce in a while it will happen in forth or fifth, but always third. The question is do i need a whole new tranny or is there a way to repair the gears that are screaming for help?? If so, how much do you think it will cost? Thanks a lot

 

you need new syncros, and probally gears, if oyu do it your self probally like 100-200 but if a shop 600-1500

 

What kind of tranny? JDM or USDM? But you will probably need to get synchros only i'm guessing gears aren't that bad if it is only in high rpm's.. but if it is a JDM tranny you will probably need to get synchros from Japan.. but what do i know, i'm just a kid

 

It's a GSR USDM tranny

 

I would just get synchros if i were you. But i'm not sure were to get them though. Someone on here does though..
