Default Hit pothole, blinking engine light, can't accelerate as normal.. HELP

I hit a fairly decent sized pothole on my way home and the car started slightly vibrating intermittently afterwards for like 20 seconds. Then my CEL light came on and started blinking. I couldn't accelerate after that so i pulled over to a full stop. I then turned off my engine and turned it back on. CEL didn't come back on and just drove off normally back home. I'm worried that this might happen again and don't want to get stuck on the highway again as its dangerous as hell.

Does anybody know what happened?

I'm planning on taking my car to an autoshop tomorrow morning but the problem is the CEL doesn't come on anymore. Does the car computer store previous CELs?

This doesn't belong in the EMS tuning section. Moving to Tech/Misc.
