Default Sticking fuel injectors

For speculatory purposes, what do you think the effects of having a stuck-open fuel injector would be? I'd expect at idle the car would run rich and stumble, and also the car would always run rich... any ideas?

I don't know if it's the culprit, that's for sure .

I AM getting worse gas mileage than I did when I first did the swap, and the car's running waaaay crappier, so maybe that's it too... if only I had the money to throw at potential solutions!

I'm now sure that under normal throttle both the #1 and #2 cylinder pairs are running really rich on the Autometer a/f gauge, also running fully rich at part throttle. The #3 and #4 cylinders are running rich as well, but they fully lean out under part throttle after ~1 or 2 seconds causing stumbling. Giving them a bit more throttle makes them run fully rich with no stumbling. ...?? I'm clueless

If it is stuck open it will wash the cylinder walls of its lubrication and lose compression and be ungood. With a side order of oil thinning in extreme cases.

Ooo, lovely... sounds like something I'd want .

I got quoted $129 to have the injectors cleaned but the guy didn't seem to know what rebalancing them meant... sound like a good price? He said that was using Motoback or something of the sort. I'm wary of having this done since I've heard it can wreck the injectors....

I would go buy a bottle or 2 of Techron concentrate and run it through your tank. Look on the side of your fuel injectors- they will say IPT or Keihn. IPT injectors tend to stick alot where Keihn (japanese) almost never have this problem. Just run techron through every few months and you will be fine.

im sure the amount isn't as significant as a bottle of concentrate.

True true... might be worth a shot. I'm going to readjust my valves and see if that makes a diff, then I'll go pick some up... thanks for the tip .
