Default squeaky clutch?

I just noticed yesterday that my clutch pedal squeaks after I press it in or depress it. ( civic dx hatch 99).... with 45,000 miles. I have checked the fluid level and it is all okay. Now is it possible for the throw out bearing to be jacked up or do I just need to change the fluids.
some info please...... let you know what happens....

mine does the same thing, never figured it out though. Does it sound like a rubbery squeak? at the bottom of the pedal stroke?

yup

I have done a quick search on this website I am going to try to lube couple of things. If that does not work straight to the dealer hope they will still honor the warranty even if its over the miles and time frame.

If the squeak is under the hood it is the clutch slave cylinder. Pull off the rubber boot and lubricate the pivot ball. If there is alot of dirt/corrosion on it you may want to unbolt the slave from the trans case and clean it off then lubricate. Bolt the slave back up. Problem solved.
Could also be the lever pivot further inside the transcase as well.

And make sure to determine if the squeek is from the inside the car, or the outside..
Inside could be as simple as a squeeky clutch pedal spring....

I called the dealer about the problem, they said it could come from two places either by the pedals or by the transmission and they charge 36.00 dollars to lube everthing up including other misc. parts around the car. He also said all this is lubed up when you take your car in for the 30K maintanence and 60K and so on. I have taken in my car for the 30K maintanence and so I might try to get this service free. A lazy tech. probably worked on my car.
He said not to use lithium grease it would eventually rub off.
I dont think it could be the clutch sping because I would not hear the squeaky problem till a couple miles of driving.
let you all know what happens

cant believe anyone has caught this one. Very common for Hondas when people dont lube the inside of the throw-out bearing (release bearing) with molybedinum disulfide grease. nothing to worry about.

ive been having the same problem. Makes a squeaking noise from the clutch pedal, also makes a constant squeaking noise from the transmission, and a screaming noise from the bearings when the car moves from a complete stop.

Do you think I should take it to the dealership to get it taken care of or from a performance shop, cuz I thought the dealership charges a lot. Does the tranny need to be taken out to lube everything up including the bearings? Not trying to jack this thread or anything, but you guys seem like you know how this could be taken care of.
