i put orange bulbs in my gauge cluster and i finally got my speedo cable plugged in and took it for a ride around the block and my speedometer just goes crazy goin from anywheres between 20 and 40 mph when im only goin about 5....will this stop as i drive it a lil bit or what?
damn i have to same speedo problem but your problem should just be loose wires when you were messing with the cluster. I have no idea why my cluster bounces, any help?.....anyone?

i had a problem where my speedo needle pointed to 20mph whenever i keyed it on and would read 20 mph above however fast i was going, i realized that i had taken the needle of previously and must have put it back wrong, so i played with it over and over trying to get it right, got the position right, but it thenwould go up to whatever top speed i went to and stay and not move till it went faster, pulled it off again and realized that if you push to hard on it it will contact the face of the gauge and stick. just a little pressure to put it back on and it works fine now. might not have anything to do with the problem most of you are having, but with some many speedo issues maybe this will help someone.
