I'm using a skunk2 dual bend SS, good shifter, much better than any generic or DC sports shifter. While you're at it add poly bushings.

they are ok.. some are just way to short and will kill ur syncros. if you shift really fast and have a short shifter, dont be upset when ur tranny starts to grind when going into gear. a stock R shifter with some poly bushings is perfect!

I don't think they are junk! I used to have a skunk2 dual bend but I sold it for a DC because I liked the height better on the DC.

True, the Skunk2 is made of steel and is the strongest out there but I have always thought that if you are shifting hard enough to break an aluminum shifter, it's good that just the shifter breaks and not something in your tranny!! There really is no need to shift hard enough to break an aluminum shifter. If you are shifting that hard, I think you are doing something wrong.

They are junk.. I broke 3 of them, all replaced free of charge but still, nothing sucks more then being in the middle of your fastest lap and having the shift **** come off in your hand.

OBX = low grade
DC = mid grade
Skunk2 = high grade

I've heard this over & over again. I know plenty of people that have killed trannys from yanking the shifters way too hard. It's all in the art of driving & shifting.

I use a (CHEAP) Checkpoint Auto Accessories short shifter on my R. I've had it for over 2 years & no probs. I've also sold a few to my customers & never had any returns.

I had a tenzo shot shifter, it sucked and messed with my syncros.... Now I have a stock shifter and its alot better. You'd be better off just to get ploy bushings unless you looked into the Sk2 1. Sounds like they are ok.

i would go with a c's they are the best i have ever seen i am running one , they are costly but well worth the money , don't wast your money on a junk2 or a dc lol, i have seen them both break and they barely reduce the throw, short shifters don't break tranny's drivers do

oh yea, I have a RACTIVE ss on mine, you know, the cheap one for $50 and guess what, I love it, never broke and does the job well, and my buddy with a DC thought is was a Dc also! lol, trust me, when it comes to basic parts, like intakes, and ss, go cheap and drive well, youll be glad
