Thanks in advance.

Some people say that it hurts your trans to put a short shifter in.... if this is what your talking about. I'd have to say no it won't it's all in your driving style. Pay attention to the way those idiots drive and judge for yourself.

The guy who runs the nearest dyno to me is convinced 100% that short shifters "wreck" transmissions because you end up shiting before you fully disengage the clutch.

I don't know about you, but I don't move my shift lever until my pedal is to the floor

It's really stupid to argue that short shifters are better or that they aren't because it's all about personal preference. You either like the short throw of the shifts or you don't. A short throw shifter is made to make your shifts shorter and, if you like that, then it can be an advantage to you because you have less of a chance of missing a gear and your shifts are faster.

I have had three Honda's, all of them with short shifters, and over the past two years I have had NO problems at all with my shifter. I cannot stand not having a short throw now. The shifter just feels too loose without one in my opinion.

Now with all that, my advice to you would be to get a short throw shifter and experience it yourself. Don't listen to us about whether they are good or not. Oh and about the con's, there are none if you know how to properly drive a manual.
