when i first start my car up in the monring it idles fine, its seems like after the car warms up the idle goes down a little and the car shakes when im stopped any ideas

well, im pretty sure this is thanks to honda's optimal fuel efficient computer, but im not sure what actually does this though. i noticed it earlier this spring, but now its seemed to go away.

could my iavc be clogged?

 

Maybe your IACV. Also maybe you need to set your base idle speed correctly?

 

i have the same issue in my 99 civic ex. how do you set the base idle? ive heard that your supposed to start the car, get it warmed up and when the radiator fan comes on, disconnect the IACV and the idle should drop to base rpms. but the thing with mine is that it doesnt drop at all.

 

The procedure for my '95 integra is just like you say. Other years might not be exactly the same. You gotta find a shop manual for your car.
