Default Idle too high! HELP!!

Scenerio: 1997 civic hatch, with JDM Integra type r motor.

ok I don't know what's going on, I did my swap about 2 months ago and I've fixed EVERY problem except my high idle. I've set the idle using the proper way. (disconnect IAVC, set idle, utrn car off, plug back in, reset ECU) But to no avail. So now I have my idle screw turned all teh way down and it's at 1100rpm now....

When I set the idle to teh proper way it's up clsoe to 2000rpm.

I've checked my tps and it's perfect. I haven't checked teh map sensor yet though. how do I do that? Any other suggestions?

P.S. here's one more thing that is kinda interesting. When setting my idle, I unplugged hte IAVC, the idle RAISES, set the idle, then plugged it back in while the car is running. The car starts missfiring like crazy until I turn the car off and start it again...

Maybe I have my wiring messed up, but I'm pretty sure I have it right.

Are you throwing any CEL's? If not, check all of your vacuum hoses for proper connections and/or leaks.

mine is doing the same thing...

hondalvr...warm your car up and there is a bleeder screw on your thermostat housing..should be anyways...let the car warm up...not to hot but warm..when your temp gauge moves off cold..and crack that bleeder open..see if that helps

nobody have any new ideas? Mine is different. If I set teh idle with the IAVC unplugged and everything . Then start my car again it's at like 3000 cold, then goes down to 1500. If I have the idle screw ALL TEH WAY DOWN. it warms up at 1600 and goes down to 1100 when warm.

And teh funny thing is if I'm costing down a hill and take my car out of gear, it only goes down to 1500 unless I come to a stop where it goes down to 100. that's same at lights and stuff.

If you've got your IACV unplugged and your idle air bypass screw all the way in and you've still got a high idle, your looking for a big vacuum leak.

Did you mess with the throttle blade stop screw?
Have you adjusted your throttle cable?
Did you replace something on the intake side and re-use a gasket?
Re-bleed your coolant?
ECT connected and giving good signal?
TPS output voltage @ idle?

i had all of those same problems, but i figured mine out...

i did all of the iacv stuff.
unplugged the sensor,
screwed that fast idle valve all the way in,
plugged the sensor back in.

it still didnt idle rite...

so.. i took the TB off, cleaned off the throttle plate,(it was sticking pretty bad), then i adjusted the throttle plate stop screw on the bottom of the TB(use an allen wrench and a 7mm open end wrench). put it all back together, adjusted my cable, and its perfect now.

no hesitation,
no crazy high idle
no low idle.
no surging...

jsut a smooth 8-900 constant.

hondalvr i think you have it backwards.

thats rite too.
i forgot to say, mine does this when its cold. 1500, then warmed up it goes back to 8-900.

it took such a load off my back when i finally got the idle fixed. it
