Been searching for a while now and i can't find someone w/ a similar problem.

My car makes a squealing or scretching noise ONLY when i take off in 1st. It started off really faint, but got louder and louder. Kinda embarrassing when i'm at a stop light. If i'm taking off going up hill from a stop its bad. But taking off going down hill, i wont hear it at all.

doesn't make any noise in neutral, w/ the clutch pressed in or out, ONLY when releasing the clutch in 1st, Seems like the tranny struggles to go. The clutch still grabs good though.

what do you guys think? btw its a cable J1 tranny.

 

 

when did u start noticing the noise? Like after u put springs on or something?

 

naw, it just came suddenly, slowly got louder and louder

 

if you have a non-sprun hub puck clutch it is normal.

 

oh ****, yeah i have a non sprung 6 puck. Coo thanks man
