Default Rev?

I just put a cold air intake on my car. Now my engine revs up to 1500 and drops down to 800 when sitting still. What is causing this and what can I do to fix it?

I've checked all of these things and the problem still exist. I checked the ecu and it is not throwing any codes. I appreciate all of the info you guys have given me so far. Any other suggestions?

reset your idle, using the adjusting screw on the TB. then reset your ECU. the problem is that it's getting too much air, and the EAVC can't compensate, so it searches for the correct idle speed (750rpm) by opening and closing. be sure to reset your ECU afterwards.

Same type of problem happend to me. Go over all of your vacume lines very carefully. There is most likely a leak somewhere and just resetting the ecu won't do anything for it.

Thanks so much....This fixed the problem. I've driven over 100 miles since last night and it runs great! Thanks Again!
