Default resurface or no?

I picked up a head from a friend and he had it sitting on his bench. When I went to get it he slid it a little and it scratch the surface. There is a scratch starting from the 3 cyl to the outside edge. Will it be ok or will it need to be resurfaced? If it does need resurfaced how do I pull the intake and exhaust studs?

get it resurfaced... as for the studs.. EASY... just take 2 nuts that fit on the stud and put one in backwards and one in right and tighen it down using a wrench to hold one end and socket to tighten then just loosen..

you don't need to pull any studs off to mill the head.
