Is it really that hard to change out a synchro
If thats how you spell it?? But is it really hard to change these out in the tranny? I got a b16 tranny im looking at that has a slight grind going into 3rd when at high rpm's. Ive rebuilt a few motors and what not but never opened a tranny up. Just curious why it cost some damn much to get done.
well i only did this only once, but its not that hard, i changed ring and drive shaft, the only thing is that you have to check is the measurements each gaps of each gears. someone correct me if im wrong.
Read the procedure in the Helm Inc. manual. You will know right away whether you're capable or not. You will definitely need some special tools to do it right, but it may be a good investment for you (was for me).
