Random question about tuning and weather
so as i was sitting here debating on my options with tuning
i thought of this
if you tune in the winter... with the colder air temperatures (N.E.:western mass, so think 30-50) wont that effect your tune in the summer when temps are up around 80-100?
i may just be an idiot not thinking but i was wondering

anyone kno...wouldnt colder, more dense air temps produce higher numbers. with the higher numbers wouldnt it require more fuel meaning when the warm dry summers come the car will be running rich?
YES it makes a LARGE difference.
A few weeks ago, I was trying to tune part-throttle in my car (CromePRO, PLX Wideband and socketed P28) but I kept having issues in Open Loop (02 input disabled) and getting it right. I found out that it actually made a difference WHEN I was tuning. The tune I did in the afternoon at 80-85 degrees did not work well at night, when the temp dropped to 70.
This is why we have 02 sensors, to sense and make up the difference.
