I got my car tuned in California where the air is a lil cooler and I'm now living in Arizona where it's like 3,000ft above sea level and it's a lil hotter here (air is thinner also). Just wanted to know if driving here in AZ hurt/effect my performance/engine? (ie. a/f ratio, running rich/lean, etc.)
say you were going from a mid summer to Miami Tune to mid winter in colorado... maybe....
im sure the performance would be diff due to the air, but im not sure how much a tune would be able to do....... but then again, i dont know, thats just where logical thinking took me....

ya, i figured the elevation would have something to do with it...but i wasnt sure if this would hurt my car--getting it tuned at sea level and driving it at 3,000ft above sea level everyday.

what was your a/f after tune in warmer climate?</TD></TR></TABLE>
nah, i dont have a wideband...how much are those? I think my a/f was at about 14.1

if anything it would run a little richer since you are higher in elevation and its a TAD
hotter. 14.1 is a little lean to make the best power, so based on what you are saying, you could actually be running around the correct afr at WOT.
widebands range from 300-600
i run a zeitronix zt2

would a car running lean smell, look, sound, feel, (taste)
different? And what's your AFR?

running a little lean wont smell like anything. after an interstate pull during logging, it will smell like fuel after i let off, but thats about it. My afr is about 13:1 at WOT and 15.0 at part throttle.
what are you smelling?
what are you smelling?

The PLX widebands go for about 315. I use them to tune every car that I do.
Let me know if you need one

how much do you sell them for? (H-T discount?)
and would it affect the tune to a point where it's noticable?

Ok well, I have a house in Colorado Springs (suburb) which is at 7800ft, then Cleveland Ohio which is 200ft? so im dropping 1¼ MILE, and trust me I noticed the difference on my NA setup but I have the same question you do so any answers would help ALOT
