Default Question about my fuel system

Back when I installed my B&M FPR, gauge, and Walbro 255 I had some odd things happen. One, after the install, when I turn the key to 'on' the fuel pressure doesn't rise on the gauge. It only does once the car is running. Secondly, it takes my car a few more turn overs to start now. Finally, when I pull the vaccum hose off the FPR, the pressure stays the same. Could my gauge be faulty or what? The only other tampering with the fuel system I have done was when I hacked my fuel line for my nitrous. Any thoughts guys? It's sorta like it has a leak, but I haven't seen anything to apply the accusation.

I think your gauge is fine. The reason the gauge stays at the same psi when the vaccum line is pulled is because its normal. When you pull off the vaccum line you bring the furl pressure to WOT!

pulling the vacuum line off the fuel pressure regulator should cause fuel pressure to increase, not stay same. How high is fuel pressure set to?

Just curious...

It was @ 40 when I put the regulator on. I have it to 45 where it seems to not bog out. It's just so weird why when I turn the key on the fuel pressure doesn't rise.

fuel pump may have faulty check vavle causing fuel pressure to return to tank.

Just a thought. Have experienced this before with a couple of walbro pumps we've installed.

Hmm, should I be overly worried about this?
