Will bad Lma's hurt the performance of the engine..? A buddy of mine has a ls-vtec and it has gt35r bb turbo and the engine has 9:1 pistons head has springs and retainers and at 18 psi he only made 280hp and it should have made more right..?. He had bc cams in at the time of that dyno and he swapped stock gsr cams in it and at the same 18psi it made 10 more hp.... We don't know what the head has in it for valves or what make the springs n stuff is but this doesn't seem normal..thanks for your responses and if you can point me in the right direction I'm gonna see if I can help him...

 

how did you come to the conclusion that lma's might even be associated with this?

Because the head is ticking really loud. It's just a ? If this could cause it or not I didn't say this is the problem it was a question...we did a boost leak test and it was good and the compression test was good idk what else to look for could it be the turbo..??
