that 'how to' doesnt actually tell you how to move hte pistons - it jsut tells you that you need to.

take the rockers out from no.1 cyl, and you will have to hold the end rocker(the one with the piston that doesnt come out in it) in between your fingers so that it is sealed and apply air pressure to the hole - i jsut used my breath to blow it out.

then swap over hte pistons so that the long one is where the short one was and viceaversa.

i think it only works for one half of hte rockers (at least thats all i could work out) so only one halve will be on hte VTEC lobe...

(anyone able to help me with this????)

still, one valve will show you clearences...

i hope this helps!!!

How did you pull out the rails that rockers are attached to ? Also, how did you remove the oil orifaces ? After, you removed the oil orifaces were you able to pull the both the rails out ?

there are two 10mm hex plugs at the distributor end that can be removed and the rails slide out when you screw bolts into the ends of them and pull...

you really need to get a Helms or factory manual for this proceedure as it would take alot of explaining without pictures...

the oil orifices are internally threaded and come out when you screw a bolt into them as well...

once orifices are removed hte rails slide out...

it is suggested ta tyou put rubber bands around each set of rockers to prevent them from seperating.

also ensure that each rocker assembaly is marked and is put back in ht eoriginal position...

hth,

to properly clay the valve relief area you need to put clay around the radius and bottom of the valve relief. the c-speed site doesn't tell you to place clay around the radius. you want to check for both depth and the radius of valve and see if there is enough clearance if not, you will need to either have the valve reliefs cut deeper or wider. its also a good idea to time the cam gear(s) to the max you think you will adjust it to, because the clearances will be different each time the cam timming is adjusted. you should also place clay on the highest part of the dome and the flat part of the piston to check for piston to head clearance
