Default problem w/ b20 start-up

recently swapped a b20 into my integ the other day and now it wont start. Today when it started it sounded like a grinding noise when the starter turned; I turned it off and tryed to start it again. The second attempt to start it didnt even turn the starter, any ideas? This is BS..... @$*& #%#@ $^%$Y T%$@^ $%@$%$ @#!!!!!!
Any good mechanics in the socal 818 area?

can you be a little more specific about the grinding noise? did it sound like a starter? did you change the timing belt or any scary stuff like that? did you use the stock b20 manifold or did you convert? details please. the little stuff is usually the prob

Sorry took so long to get back guys got some other issues goin on. Well its a b20 block b18 head everything is machined and built by a shop. The grinding noise i believe sounds like the starter because when the car is started you can't hear the noise. Now the damn car just clicks when I try to start it? %^#$^!!!!! I'm pretty sure it's the starter what do you guys think? You guys know your %^*^!!

Pics coming soon....

check ur battery first man, you are not supposed to hear your starter after the car is started, that's because its job is to only get the car started

yep, check the battery first, and the connections. Then you can actually take the starter apart and rebuild it if you want to. Its pretty easy to do. Then you can test it outside the car by hooking it up to a battery charger and jumping the switched power and the constant power.

connections are cool so i guess the only thing left to do is to take it off and try to rebuild it? So i dont actually need to go to Acura and buy a new starter?
just rebuild....

bring it to autozone and let them test it out first to see if it is bad
