buying a universal Exhaust
my buddy has a $200 budget and wants to get a universal muffler and have 2.5 pipeing welded on. But doesnt know what to get or what one has good reviews. can any1 help a brother out and give some suggs for him??
Whatever your friend does, don't go to a muffler shop that doesn't do mandrel bend systems. A crush bent system may be inexpensive, but overall, it won't be worth it since you won't get the flow you would want out of a crush bent system. If you want to go the cheap/not so pricey route, find out where you can get the bends already made (mandrel of course), and have a muffler shop weld those pieces together. It should be really close to the flow characteristics of a true mandrel bent system. Just something to think about.
One more thing, try and find some sort of resonator for the system. It will help clean out the sound and help reduce any backfiring sounds you may encounter, plus, makes it less raspy.
