power window problem.....PLEASE Look!
I have a 2000 CR-V SE and for awhile now the driver's side front window has been slow to roll up. Well, it finally came to the point that it won't go all the way up..........correction, i can get it to go all the way up if i pull on it and rev the engine at a higher rpm. it goes down no problem, though. I took the door panel off and sprayed silicone spray in all the moving parts (including the rubber side pieces). it didn't really help. What do you guys suggest?
First thing I would do is check the switch, dirty contacts in the switch can cause the same symptoms.
Easiest way to test motor is to supply power and ground directly to it, power and ground one way and the window will roll up, switch the power and ground around and window will roll down, if it works properly with power and ground direct, replace the switch, power window switch on most Honda/Acura can be "opened" and the contacts cleaned. 94

The best ones are from the dealer, they fit best. It depends on the model as to whether it comes with the regulator or not. You can buy just a replacement motor (usually) from a parts store like Kragens but they usually are crap quality and you have to swap the pigtail over from the old motor but they do work.
Sometimes the window "run channel" felt surface gets worn out and the glass will start to drag on it.
The extra strain wears the motor faster. Id replace them both while its all disassembled.
