power window motor problem

Default power window motor problem

i have a 94 honda civic coupe the ex model and i believe that my motor is dead. whenever i play the switch i cant hear the motor trying to move the glass window. i was wondering if theres a diy articles out there to replace power window motor. really need help or advice.thankyou

Make sure its not your switch before you go out and replace your motor, Switch is much cheaper. Also check your fuses

if its clicking and you hear it trying then it is a dead motor. mine does the same **** still to this day. but it seems hard is hell to change it. this guy is charging me 80 bux to change it out. i think thats high.

If you hear the motor trying to move the window, then the window may be binding in the side tracks. Pull the door panel off to see whether the window is out of alignment. Also spray some silicone lubricant into the side tracks.

actually i cant hear the motor when im clicking the switch. thax a lot a i sprayed sum silicon spray. after that it starts to work normal. hopefully its not the wires.

80 bux for a replacement. i'll do it for u lol
