Default Poor Mans Type R No Vtec

Ok, so heres the story, i had a jdm b16 and running a gsr ecu, just recently bought the car, motor mount on block broke, so i purchased a gsr bottom end punched 50 over, high compression pistons. i used my b16 head which has type R cams. im am currently throwing a code 9 (cylinder position sensor) and i have no vtec, from what i have read, code 9 throws the ecu into limp mode(is that true? and i know limp mode = no vtec) i swaped out ecus and distrubutor with a buddy of mine (off his working car) and still popping a code 9 with his ecu and dissy. i checked the timming like 5 times now, and its dead on. Please help!!! this car is getting to me.

P.S.- vtec worked with the b16, dnt know if i had a check engine light with the b16, bulb was burnt out.

Check your harness for cracked or broken wires.
