B16 VTEC problem

Icon6 B16 VTEC problem

Okay so they just fixed my engine harness which was causing a short.. so now i drive off and my vtec wont engage...yes i checked my oil and wires.. all seems okay.. now vtec feels like its engaging in almost 8K rpm... when it would engage on 5500 rpm.. so now i am confused as to what happen...anyone? know or think of anything that could be wrong?

engaging at 8k? go threw vtec troubleshooting

well the cel..turns on..but turns off after restart

VTEC is not engaging. . . and you have a cel. It's like having a dead body in one room, and a gun in the hallway and not checking the gun for prints.

How can he check the cel when it goes away after he restarts/turn off ignition right santacruzccs? or what do u mean by restart, when does the cel come on?

leave it running with the light on and check the code.. when you jump it off or have it checked it will bring the code up..

Even if the LIGHT turns off, the code is STORED.

Just CHECK and CLEAR the code!!! ( Clear as in SOLVE the issue it is pointing to.)
