Default Please help diagnose cluth problem!!!

The other night while I was driving, I shifted into third gear and gave it some gas, all it would then do is rev up like I was in neutral.

Now, no matter what gear I put it in, nothing happens. Its like its in neutral all the time. I can even shift (without using clutch pedal) between gears while the car is running and nothing happens.

My first thought was pilot bearing and clutch lever seperated but I took slave cylinder off and played with lever a bit and I'm pretty positive its not the pilot bearing or clutch lever.

Recently , before this all happened, I had the tranny off and a buddy who is a proffessional mech opened it up and inspected everything to make sure clearances were ok.

It is definetely not shifter, linkage, slave cyl or master cyl or bubbles in system as I recently replaced/bled all these also.

What are some reasons the clutch would not disengage the flywheel? What I really cant understand is why I can physically move through the gears with the car started.

I gotta ge this fixed asap, dyno day at Secret Services is the 19th!!!!!

HELP!!!!

You may have fried the clutch looks like you've done everything you can without taking the tranny off but now it looks like your going to have to.

Yea, I had the tranny off up until like a week ago fixing a backed out flywheel bolt, now this...

Really some Plates stick? I haven't been driving the car hard, I can't even go past 4000rpms cause I'll hit boost and I don't want to until I get to the tuner.

Not throwing out the sticking plate idea but anyone else got some ideas just in case???

With the engine in one of the gears, and you hitting the gas when you should be moving, but you aren't, is your speedometer moving? and do you feel the gears engaging?

it sounds like the forks are sliding the synchros back and forth from gear to gear.

Could a fork just bend super bad all of a sudden? Kinda sounds like something that would show wear first. And again, I haven't been past 4000rpm at all. I've been babing the car till dyno time.

If your CLUTCH fork was broken it would be stuck engaged. It sounds like yours is stuck DISengaged. Remember you press the pedal down to DISengage the clutch.

There's 3 shift forks. 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, 5th/rev. It's not very likely they all broke at the same time. Besides, you say you can shift from gear to gear. Does it feel just like it would if you had the clutch disengaged (pedal down)? It almost sounds like your clutch is always disengaged. Or broke. I don't know how likely that is...

Most broken clutches I've heard of, they stick engaged. Maybe a spring breaks off & wedges between the clutch & PP. It seems like the only way for it to break DISengaged is breaking off the splined end of the tranny input shaft?? Can the splined hub of the clutch disk break off & spin free?? The springs in the pressure plate would ALL have to break together in order to leave it disengaged..(?)

OK, I've heard of axles breaking. The shaft part of the axle spins but it doesn't drive the wheel.
