Default plastigauge ?'s

When plastigauging the rods and mains, what should I tourqe them to? Also , what should the clearance on the mains and rods(Eagle) be for B20B/Vtec turbo? thanks

75% of the torque spec should yield an accurate clearance reading

You should torque them to the torque rating of the bolts you are using. If you don't know you should speak to the manufacturer. It wouldn't guess with rod or main bolts.

If you did torque the rod bolts down to spec,then you would stretch them,Possibly causing you to need new ones if they stretch too much.75% of the normal spec. is good just to check.Usuall clearances are .0011 to .0018 for rod bearings and .0014-.0018 for mains.If you have to mix up some the main bearings to get the right clearances,use the more open tolerances on the middle journals,and use the tighter ones on the outer most.
