Default Pics: is this tensioner thread already helicoiled? Or?

I was backing out the tensioner bolt And notice that it started getting caught at the very end so was able to gently remove the bolt and noticed the top thread was raising up (like a spring away from the other threads) so I used a little flat head and push the thread flush with the others and was able to get the bolt fully in.

but I took the block to the machine shop and the machinist confused me he recommended I helicoiled it but it already looked heli coiled to me, anyway he didn't really look at it that hard, I have never seen stock threads strip like this

So can I helicoil this thing (again?? Stock thread?) or should I just roll with it? Cause I can get the bolt in to spec, removing it is the issue.

So once again I'm calling upon the Honda forum God's to spoon feed my newb ***.

That is definitely a Heli-Coil. I am not sure how to tell you to proceed... typically, you don't re-heli-coil a hole that already has a heli-coil in it. You might consider a Time-Sert. Then again, since it works now... you may leave well enough alone.

Yea I was almost positive it was helicoiled from first glance. my machinist confused the hell out of me, but he seemed busy so I didn't bring it up to him that it already looks helicoiled.

Anyhow I think I'll just loctite the top thread to stay in the down position so hopefully when the timing belt needs te be done in the future the thread won't raise up when backing out the bolt. The threads themselves are In good shape so I think it should be fine.
Thanks for the input my man always appreciated
