....thread a stripped bolt thread....

i accideently hit a bolt with a hammer too hard

and i cant get the nut back on.. .. its on the very tip of the bolt ... anyone give me ideas.?

The beginning of the threaded part? Get a tap and dye set or try filing the threads back into shape (which I've done before).
