Default PCV lsvtec question

Id like to first start off saying im new here. ok now that thats out of the way...I am in the process of building my lsvtec and i have read a couple of diffrent ideas on how to make a pcv system that works with the ls block and the lack of the nipple on the back of the block that goes to the oil valleys that eventually lead to the crankcase. I was thinking that i could make a system that resembles the ls system, by having the PCV valve in the valve cover and then running it to the intake manifold, just like the ls one. i would think that it is the same basic principal as the vtec blocks (having the nipple in the back), but the blow by gasses would just escape from the PCV valve in the valve cover and not the nipple in the back of the block. any comments or suggestions would be welcome. thanks in advance.

i haev seen people take and put 2 breathers on the valve cover and the v8 guys put reed valves on the headder and that draws out the crank case pressure. what about the ENDYN B20 set up will that help? i havent gotten into an ls v tec. i would like to know as well...good luck.

Your best bet would be to have the PCV valve high up so that it doesn't get totally drenched in oil and doesn't spit out too much oil into the intake. The H22 has the PCV on the valve cover and then a short little vacuum line to the intake manifold. Works really well, and is easy to access if you ever need to replace that silly little valve. Oh, yeah, you'll need 2 lines to the valve cover: 1 is the PCV I just described (which is under vacuum to suck the air out), and the 2nd goes upstream of the throttle body (anywhere between the air filter and TB) to push fresh air into the system - thus ventilation.

thanks for the replies. GregR, thats what i belived would work because of the exact reason that you dont have gobs of oil plugging up the valve because its high up. Thats what ill do and ill keep you guys updated on my progress. By the way heres my parts have

b18b Ls block
pr3 pistons (acid dipped and sparkling)
new rings
ls rods, arp rod bolts, new bearings from honda
metal head gasket
arp head studs
sir2 intake manifold, (acid dipped and sparkling)
ITR oil pump (new)
GSR water pump (new)
GSR Timing belt
GSR Tensioner
GReddy catch can (its huge!)
Dipped head with new valve seals (Sir1)
P73 ITR ecu
(its all pretty basic stuff, but a good base i think)

other stuff too, too tired to remember
Thanks again.
