give me year and models of your car and whole description on your swap and i could get your chip for 85$ shipped with Mugen Specs.

oh boy..
well, you'll need to convert your car to OBD1 wiring type, before even thinking about using a P28 ecu. Which is kind of a hassle, but when its complete you'll be lovin it. You have an 89 LX so that makes wiring that much more fun (being sarcastic), since you have a Dual-crap..*cough*...Point engine.

once you get the OBD1 wiring all working, if you're planning to leave the D16Z6 engine stock, the reprogramming the ecu is NOT necessary. But if you plan to upgrade the camshaft, then you might wanna think about an ecu upgrade.

(shameless plug) ..I offer ecu reprogrammin services btw, see link below.

ok sorry maybe i was a bit unclear, i have an 89 LX with a d16z6 swap, i already converted to OBD1 so i am using the p28 ecu right now!, but what you are saying is that its not going to be that much more beneficial to chip/reprogram my ecu unless i upgrade my cam?
