P28 for my D16Z6
I just found out that my project car has a P06 for the D16z6 swap that was put into it and was wondering what would need to be done in order to swap a P28 ECU in and get my Vtec to engage for this engine?

Re: P28 for my D16Z6 (Jim Truett)
considering the original condition of this car when it was purchased... i wouldn't give him credit for chipping the ecu lol
i'll take a look anyways though and come back with a picture later on

your p06 ecu is not chipped..27256 labled is where the chip goes on and i think thats the reason why your car runs like ****
the pic shown below is how a chipped ecu looks like, my suggestion to u is buy a virgin p28 ecu and u can chipped it in the future if u are swapping a b series

Re: P28 for my D16Z6 (GSR_hatch936)
I plan on boosting my d16z6 in the future but it seems like i'm going to hunt out a p28 from around here
but would it be plug and play? or would there be a harness mismatch?

You could ship your computer out to this guy or xeron.com and have them chip to a p28. The material to chip it only cost like $20 and then you have to pay for labor, which shouldn't be too much. Just make sure you tell them what board you have before you order.

Re: P28 for my D16Z6 (goforbroke)
I got a p28 off someone who was selling it for $100.
It was a direct plug and play... same cel light, srs light, redline of 7900 and vtec crossover should be 4800 (but my cel's are on lol)
that would be your best and most convienent bet
just make sure to keep the P06 as i am doing.... just in case you send your p28 to be chipped
